Deactivate employees temporarily
Temporarily Deactivating Employees
This feature allows you to pause employees in the system for a defined period of time, for example during a seasonal break. Within this timeframe, the deactivated employee will be excluded from invoicing.
First, open the employee overview and select the people you want to deactivate. You can mark individual employees or several at once, then click “Deactivate selected employees.”
Next, set the validity period for the deactivation. This must be at least two months and no longer than one year.
To confirm the deactivation, enter the reason (for example, “seasonal break”) and click Save. Once completed, the deactivation status and the selected time period will be displayed directly in the employee overview. This way, you can always see which employees are currently paused and when their deactivation ends.
Employees are automatically reactivated once the selected period has ended.
While an employee is paused, admins can still view all of their previous hours in Hours & Salary.
Important:
Deactivated employees will be excluded from all future shifts as long as they remain deactivated, even if the shift is scheduled to take place after the deactivation period has ended.
Reactivating Employees
If you want to reactivate an employee before the end of the selected period, this can only be done by editing their profile.
Go to the Employees tab, click on the employee’s name, and then select Edit Profile.
Tick the Remove checkbox, click Save Information, and the employee will be active again.
